Refractive Error Correction
Refractive errors include farsightedness, nearsightedness, and astigmatism. Eyes with refractive errors require glasses or contact lenses for proper vision. LASIK surgery allows a person to have proper vision without glasses or lenses. In LASIK surgery, the surgeon changes the shape of the cornea based on initial examinations and imaging results and uses laser beams, so that light reflected from objects is focused directly on the retina.
If you are tired of glasses or contact lenses and your eye doctor has determined that you are a good candidate for LASIK surgery, laser eye surgery is a sure way to eliminate glasses and lenses from your life and start a new life. Because you will have perfect vision and you can easily exercise, study, and most importantly, you will no longer have to worry about breaking or losing your glasses or contact lenses.
LASIK is a common and precise two-stage surgery on the cornea. In this method, a layer (flap) is cut from the surface of the cornea using a fine automatic blade (microkeratome) and the eye score is corrected with an excimer laser, which is very fast and precise. With new developments and the invention of femtosecond lasers, the modern femtosecond technique was introduced, which is today considered one of the best and most uncomplicated surgical techniques for correcting refractive errors. Mehr Ophthalmology Specialized Center is ready to provide services by equipping it with the most modern excimer laser and femtosecond laser devices.
