Lens Implant
In patients with weak refractive power and high astigmatism, where laser removal is not possible, there is an alternative method of lens implantation. This procedure is performed under anesthesia and requires additional examinations and tests. Also, after ordering the lens, there will usually be a period of time waiting for the lens to be prepared and supplied, and the cost of the procedure is higher than with conventional laser procedures. If all the conditions are favorable, the results of this procedure are no different from eyeglass removal procedures.
Intracorneal Ring
In patients with keratoconus, laser surgery and removal of eyeglass marks are not possible, but better vision can be achieved by placing a ring in the part of the cornea where the severity of keratoconus is greatest in that area, reducing the eye mark. Also, by using a femtosecond laser in this procedure, the possibility of complications and dissatisfaction with the procedure is minimized.
